Here’s this week update on organic produce that is around at the moment, but due to weather and supply we can’t always guarantee we can get everything that  week.  Also, as some prices rise and some go down, our mission is we will always try to give you as much value for money as possible.
And sometimes we have Odd Bods, those not quite perfect veggies that still taste yummy, just don’t judge their looks!!! You can nominate to receive, or not, these sometimes quirky looking produce.

What’s An “Odd Bod”?

We often have broken, misshapen, small bruises, cracked etc items, that we try to always catch before they find themselves in one of your boxes.  But sometimes we get a great deal on veg that is perfectly tasty, but a bit odd, and the farmer can’t ask full price and it’s destined for scrap use, and nothing in his pocket.  And then we also get a few odd bods in boxes of our regular produce.

So we have decided to offer a bag of “odd bods” in with your box, if you are happy to receive, that are heavily discounted produce as a one off.  You may get the odd item that you haven’t tried before, all you need to do is … cut a bruised tip off a carrot, a hole out of a potato, a bruise from an eggplant, off cut stalk from a celery (that you can actually replant).  These are all perfectly good produce, just some extras that you may cook up into a soup, or roast.  A lot of these perfectly good pieces have found themselves in the tummies of some pet chooks and pigs owned by friends and some customers.

If you would like specific/larger quantities of any produce

(eg. 3kg  Potatoes),

put your request in checkout Notes,

if available it will become part of your box.

1. Something your family doesn’t eat, no problem.  In the “additional information” box at checkout, write DO NOT EAT, and list the items you DO NOT want, we will ensure you don’t receive any of these.
