Mung Beans


Did you know you can grow your own organic veg whenever you want?

The dried beans just sit in your pantry until about 2 days before you require them to be sprouted.

As kids I think we all grew mung bean sprouts on wet cottonwool on a window sill.  Many years later I’ve fine tuned the method, all I use is a plastic takeaway container, and a sieve that can sit on top.  Add some dried mung beans, some water, about 1 minutes care and attention a day, and you have lovely crunchy sprouts which can be added to a wide variety of lunch and dinner meals.  They are soft and easily digested when cooked – or just eat them raw!  They are a high source of protein and fibre.

So easy to do even the kids could make them for you.

Most Australian grown organic and natural beans, peas and grains may be able to sprout. Any seeds with an origin outside of Australia could have been heat treated on entry in order to adhere to quarantine laws and will most likely not sprout.

All our products are either certified organic, non-GMO and grown without the use of insecticides or pesticides and harvested and packed without the use of preservatives and additives and not radiated.
