Rainbow Chard – “ADD-ON” To A Box Order

I decided to do some investigating, what is it about the Rainbow Chard that has people so excited when we can get them.

Basically it’s a dark, leafy, green veg.  Packed full of many micronutrients that result in health benefits. It contains high levels of several vitamins including K,  A, C and E. The high levels of vitamin A helps with healthy skin and bone development, while also promoting good eye health. Like carrots, chard contains beta-carotene.

Chard, like spinach, is an excellent source of iron, manganese, magnesium and potassium.

Apparently it is only surpassed by broccoli and spinach for it’s nutritional content.

Okay I’m sold!!!  So we are adding it to the “Add-Ons” this week.  One big bunch of multi-coloured leaves (each one has a different flavour) is $7.50, usually $10.50.
